Uttarakhand Open University has been awarded with the Governor’s Second Best University Award on 27 February 2018 at the state capital Dehradun. On this precious occasion, Governor of the State Dr. K. K. Paul presented a certificate to the Vice-Chancellor of the University. All Universities of the Uttarakhand state were evaluated under twenty-four different categories. It is the first time in the history of Governor’s Best Award that an open university has been awarded. UOU was one among the eleven agricultural, medical, technical, and conventional universities located in different parts of Uttarakhand State. The Vice-Chancellor of Uttarakhand Open University has received this award.
