Prof. Om Prakash Singh Negi has been appointed as the fifth Vice-Chancellor of Uttarakhand Open University.

Earlier he served as the senior most Professor of Physics Department in Kumaun University. He was born on 16th July 1958 and since 32 years he is in permanent teaching.

His focus will be on introducing the new courses and to spread awareness regarding the ODL system in far regions of Uttarakhand.

He has visited many countries i.e. China and Germany for his research work.
