ASIAN Center for Tourism (ACT) Virtual Launching Ceremony at AeU

Asia e University through its siter company, SPEED Training Sdn. Bhd in collaboration with DHS Hospitality Academy Sdn. Bhd. and IPortal Live based in the United States have virtually launched the ASIAN Center for Tourism (ACT) on September 30, 2021.

ACT is a Center of excellence to nurture talent, enhance employees’ knowledge, and create an avenue to share experience for Tourism personnel from various sectors of the industry. The center was initially proposed by DHS Hospitality Academy and became a reality with these partnerships.

The launching ceremony was held via Zoom platform in the presence of Prof. Dato’ Dr. Ansary Ahmed, the Founder President and CEO of Asia e Learning and SPEED Training, Dr Sri Kumar Sivakumaran, Founder of DHS Hospitality Academy, Mr Uzaidi Udanis, President of Malaysian Tourism Council Malaysia and Dr Rushdi Siddiqui, CEO and Co-Founder of IPortal Live.

The Center has wide portfolio of courses; offering 40 Skills Certification programmes, 25 Certificates of Completion programmes, three Diploma programmes and a Postgraduate Diploma programme, MBA in Tourism Management and additional of 66 Certificates in Tourism Operations.

In addition, this Center with the support from it’s global partner IPortal Live will also emphasize Tech Tourism, new startups, and accelerator programmes to help tourism industry startups grow and serve new spaces within the tourism industry. Besides, to ensure that programmes offered produce talent that fit the future tourism sector needs. he ASIAN Center for Tourism has also affiliated with South Asian Tourism Federation and supported by the World Tourism Network.

The Malaysian Tourism Council (MTC) is a strategic partner for this Center will also share actively in terms of Webinars, knowledge sharing and sponsorship programmes. MTC will play a critical role of networking with government, industry players and others in the sector towards developing industry specific programmes that are highly demanded in the tourism industry.
