VUP in Collaboration With the Prime Minister’s Green Youth Movement Club Conducted a Series of Impactful Sustainable Activities

A spirited awareness walk was organized through Gulistan-e-Jauhar, with participants holding placards to symbolize their dedication to environmental causes. The walk served as a visible representation of the collective commitment of VU students and staff members to promote eco-friendly practices and raise awareness about the importance of environmental conservation.

Volunteers from the Virtual University actively participated in a beach cleaning drive, demonstrating their commitment to preserving the coastal environment. The cleanup aimed to address the challenges posed by plastic waste and other debris, promoting a cleaner and healthier coastline.
As part of the collaboration, a group from the Virtual University visited the Combined Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) for wastewater in Karachi. This visit provided students and staff with valuable insights into the processes involved in treating industrial wastewater, emphasizing the significance of responsible water management.

The Virtual University of Pakistan continues to set an example for other educational institutions by integrating environmental awareness and action into its academic and extracurricular activities, contributing to the national agenda of creating a cleaner and more sustainable Pakistan.
