The International Socrates Award under the title “Best Regional University” and Medallion of the Manager of the Year across the region was awarded to Al-Quds Open University (QOU) on 28 March 2017 for being one of the leading universities in the sphere of science and education around the world and for its performance, effectiveness, vision and leadership, innovation, creativity, professionalism, exceptional managerial skills, business ethics, and corporate social responsibility for the year 2016. The Mohammad Bin Rashed Arabic Language Award was also given to QOU on 03 May 2017 during the 6th International Conference on Arabic Language in recognition of the university’s initiative for using social networking, Smart Apps, and Games to encourage more to learn about the Arabic language.
