As per the directions of Chancellor Virtual University President of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi, VUP conducted first ever online ECAT for engineering universities in Punjab.

As many as 111 designated campuses allocated for 34000 participants across Punjab which were spread across the province; Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, DG Khan, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Sheikhupura, Nankana, Sialkot and many others.

A mobile application was also designed to help participants in locating their test center and sitting arrangement. A front desk was also set up to cater covid-19 SOPs in each campus. Each participant was facilitated with gloves, surgical mask and sanitizer.

The whole process was monitored and recorded via CCTV add IP cameras. The test was conducted in a hassle free air conditioned environment under strict monitoring from Virtual University of Pakistan and Engineering Council of Pakistan.

Rector Virtual University, Mr. Naeem Tariq said that this is a big landmark in educational field that we are conducting high level online admission test. He said undoubtedly this is the first step in educational sector for Digital Pakistan. He appreciated the role of Virtual University and its team who worked day and night for completion of this task.

He acknowledged the working of controller examination Virtual University Dr. Faisal Tahseen Shah, Registrar Virtual University, Dr. Mohsin Javed, Director campuses Mohammed Farhan, General Manager Marketing Mrs. Rubina, Director Administration Ahmar Qazi and Regional Campus Manager Tahir Malik.
