The Virtual University of Pakistan (VU) held its 12th Annual Convocation 2022

The Virtual University of Pakistan (VU) held its 12th Annual Convocation 2022 at the varsity’s Sialkot campus. As many as 937 graduates were given away degrees in various disciplines at VU’s 12th Annual Convocation 2022. Of them, 303 Bachelor, 474 Master, and 161 MS/M. Phil graduates were conferred degrees. Furthermore, 15 merit certificates and five gold medals were also awarded to graduates in various disciplines to acknowledge their outstanding academic performance.

Dr. Munawar Sultana Former Vice Chancellor, University of Education, graced the event as chief guest. The convocation was declared open by the Rector VU Prof. Dr. Arshad Saleem Bhati. During his speech, he highlighted the achievements of Virtual University, its leading role in delivering information and communication technology-based education, and highlighted the provision of quality education to the remotest areas of the country.

While addressing, Rector VU welcomed the guests and their parents on gracing the event with their presence. He said that the parents, as well as teachers, deserve to be congratulated on their great efforts. He asked students to always remain respectful to their parents and set targets and goals to achieve better results. Rector Virtual University distributed medals and awards amongst high achievers. Besides the dignitaries, faculty members, and students, a large number of parents were also present at the convocation. Dr. Munawar Sultana praised the Virtual University of Pakistan for its effort of imparting quality education.

The Virtual University of Pakistan (VU) held its third part of the 12th Convocation at Multan on Friday, December 16, 2022, in which 2150 degrees were conferred to graduates of various disciplines out of which there were 410 bachelors, 1449 Masters and 291 MS/M. Phil graduates. Furthermore, twenty-two (22) merit certificates and five (05) gold medals were also awarded to acknowledge the outstanding performances of position holders.

Prof. Dr. Masroor Elahi Babar Vice Chancellor, Agriculture University D.I Khan graced the occasion as the chief guest. He praised the Virtual University of Pakistan for its effort of imparting quality education.

The Virtual University of Pakistan (VU) held the second part of the 12th Convocation at Faisalabad earlier this week, in which 819 degrees were conferred to graduates of various disciplines out of which there were 280 bachelors, 476 Masters, and 63 MS/M. Phil graduates. Furthermore, seven (07) merit certificates and one (01) gold medal were also awarded to acknowledge the outstanding performances of position holders.

Prof. Dr. Robina Farooq, Vice Chancellor of Government College Women University Faisalabad, graced the event as chief guest.

A three days Hands-on Training Workshop on the topic of Mathematics with MATLAB was held at Information Access Center(IAC), Virtual University Davis Road. The objective of the workshop was to teach the programming skill of MATLAB practically, for the prime beneficial to mathematicians, students, teachers, and other professionals working in a theoretical environment to solve mathematical models.

Director ORIC & Controller Examination Dr. Faisal Tehseen Shah, was the chief guest in the opening ceremony of the training workshop while HoD Mathematics Dr. Akhtar Ali gave his remarks on the importance of learning practical skills in Mathematics. This training workshop was planned in in-person mode but due to an over-whelming response from the VU and non-VU students, worthy Rector Dr. Arshad Saleem Bhatti allowed it to be streamed online for participants who showed their interest through registration. Approximately 100 participants attended the training.

Trainer, Mr. Zulfiqar Noor, gave a comprehensive view on various contemporary concepts of Mathematics and their solutions using MATLAB. He very well demonstrated how to solve various Mathematical problems in MATLAB. The workshop continued for three days with Theory and practice.

Participants shared that it was very beneficial training which will not only help in their studies and research but for future job prospects as well. They showed keen interest in such future events. Dr. Shahzad Faizi, Associate Professor of Mathematics & Mr. Jawwad Zaheer, Senior manager PDC distributed the certificates to participants while Dr. Faisal Tehseen Shah distributed the certificates to the organizers. The closing ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks and good wishes for the participants.
